Spring Events   Bananagan and The Mods

The Australian band Bananagun, which performed in Malmsbury, has two albums with several notable songs. Their 2020 debut album, The True Story of Bananagun, includes tracks like “Bang Go the Bongos,” “People Talk Too Much,” and “Out of Reach”. Their second album, 2024’s Why is the Colour of the Sky?, features songs such as “Brave Child of a New World,” “Children of the Man,” and “Gift of the Open Hand”.

Hailing from regional Victoria just north of Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country, The Mods are a genre-defying four-piece band fusing a multitude of musical styles and influences including rock, jazz, alt-folk, pop and psychedelia.
The band released their self-titled debut album in early 2024, a ten-track odyssey exploring the elations and tribulations of modern adolescence, which was written, recorded and produced by the group throughout 2025 & 2026.
